FLOSS Manuals sprints to build quality free documentation

Posted by: PerlCoder on December 23, 2008 07:26 PM
I checked out the FLOSS Manuals site. Looks pretty cool! I think this was a really good idea. Some people say that proprietary software is easier to use than FOSS, when the reality is that people are spending millions every year taking classes and buying books to understand how to use Microsoft and Adobe products. (At my University, there is actually a $500 class for learning how to use Excel!)

Having high-quality, easily-accessible documentation available for the more powerful applications could do a lot towards helping the non-geek benefit from Linux.
