Run an older distro, can't compile stuff. Run a new one, can't compile stuff. If you can't run a program as you've downloaded it, it's broken. It is this lack of standards which is holding Linux back. Standards like "Software should readily run on the Operating System". Kind of thing that Windows actually does well (no, I'm NOT an MS shill). I actually want to see Linux succeed, which is why broken software should be treated as such, broken.
I'll stick with Gtktalog for now. It does the same job as this, works nicely and has a good search function (you can search for files within archives) and apepars to have a cleaner interface.
