Don't need anything special on my EEE; Minimal Ubuntu + fluxbox + EEEd kernel is everything I need. And yes, not being a great linux hacker, I'm no linux newbie.
My problem with the "out of the box" philosofy is that "there are a lot of things that are installed and I wont ever use them and they eat my EEE pc memory and increase boot times" :)
