Fasten your seat belts for the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2008.... As the ground breaking Pixel Qi power saving, outdoor sunlight readable screen designs (like what we saw on OLPC) will make "portable" rise to a new degree of the word.

Are you prepared for 12-16 hour battery life as the norm? Just a guess, but with the ratio of powe being saved vs backlit LCD... the margin for error could be a hour or two on the low side and 4 to 5 hours on the high side (depends on CPU, use, graphical needs as in the AMD & ATI processor that has low graphics mode and a high graphics mode with different power use depending on what mode you want to be in.
