Review: Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring

Yes, indeed, Mandriva 2008 Spring is the best GNU/Linux distribution. In the past I've used Ubuntu/Kubuntu distro, but always I had problems with installing drivers, in special ATI drivers for video card and wireless. With Ubuntu distros, I needed a network cable to connect to the internet only for installing the wireless. But, Mandriva 2008, is the first distro where I had everything installed from the beginning. The ATI video card was automatically detected and I had 3D Desktop effect by default and regarding the wireless, the OS detected the device and with a nice wizard allow me to specify the Window driver for that device. Finally, the wireless card was installed and working nice and there was no need for terminal operations or network cable.
All in all, I am very impress by Mandriva 2008 Spring distro. The computer where I've installed Mandriva without any major problem is notebook Dell Vostro 1000.
