In memoriam: free software projects of 2007

Nathan Willis is spot on. There are already very few volunteers. Fewer testers and even fewer programmers. Just ask Habitat for Humanity on how hard it is to find real life volunteers. And all they need are people who can hammer! I have tried to get people to help me on "Does it work for you?" All they needed to do was download and run the script and answer back with a simple yes or no. I get one response. You know what, I closed the source, charged money for it, and suddenly got much better feedback.
