I don't think that your definition of "like a charm" matches mine. The gold standard is still VM Ware - and VirtualBox is neither as fast or as polished in many areas. The small price of VM Ware Workstation and the large number of appliances is compelling, and still makes VM Ware the best solution for desktop virtualization.
