I think plotdrop is a better solution

Plotdrop is a Gnuplot front-end that allows you to take a text file, and drop it into plotdrop to generate a simple line graph. I find it perfect for a quick check of data. I then go into Gnuplot later to produce presentation-quality graphs. It seems to be the best combo for me.
