Index and search with KDE's new Strigi

Behind-your-back disk indexers are the worst privacy breach AND system slow-down in existence. Disk access is the slowest operation on a PC. Having a daemon doing it in background is just dumb. At most you want it done overnight, while you sleep.

But we really wish search people would implement more privacy features. Not everyone wants every word of their work available on demand.

The file-folder metaphor was supposed to help. Maybe all this search work would be better directed at doing better mind-mapper programs so people can make their own org trees that link to relevant files. Something like web tags.
