I used Chyrp (actually its predecessor Lingua) once upon a time and it was really cool. I checked it just a couple of months back and it seemed like development had stalled. That's why I stopped using it. Neat stuff otherwise, I don't know about lightweight because I didn't benchmark, but I liked using it. It was very simple and stuff.
