SimplyMEPIS 7.0 is a keeper

With regard to stability... MEPIS 6.5 has been the most stable computer operating system that I have used (in 17 years). It will be some months before we have enough evidence to assess 7.0 stability. Since 7.0 is based upon Debian, rather than Ubuntu, it isn't certain that the updates will continue to be as stable as the updates to 6.5. Since 6.5 has been 100% reliable, I just can't leave it for anything unproven... even another MEPIS. For the next couple months, I will be running MEPIS 6.5 and Mint 4.0 (because nobody should limit themselves to only one distro). Then, if early evidence is that 7.0 updates are as reliable as 6.5, I'll move to MEPIS 7.0 as our primary system.
