I could only wish this was widely accepted by all linux distrobutions.. but i think they are to stubborn (is that the right word?) to accept this simple logic way of installing software. They see no problem in packaging each software piece 10 times for each distrobution. They dont see the waste of time in this. They dont see how this will not even be managable if linux was ever to become a popular desktop. Basicly i think its a problem of ego's here...instead of technical.
