Risk for Gamefest

Risk might be a great game for the Freedomware Gamefest 2007 now going on. This group of qualifiers+tournaments are a work in progress so that future fests will be even better. If enough people show interest in Risk, I would think it would be added as a tournament. Post any interests to this page: http://www.nuxified.org/topic/sign_up_here_for_the_tourney

The Gamefest is a set of tournaments put together under one roof with participation from the community (at a slow pace, especially since participants cover almost all time zones). There are prizes, but the best part for me is discovering some really great games.

I am working to contribute to the gamefest so that each year (or season) it gets even better. Games are now on the list of items Linux should most pay attention to.

There is a demo page and the current tournaments in progress or about to start are Tremulous, Armagetron, and individual and team versions of Nexuiz and OpenArena. Many other games have been mentioned but probably not in sufficient quantity of votes. Some of these tournaments mentioned are closed for registration but maybe not all of them. And the games are fun and easy to play online, tournament or no.
