Bad advice. Many people will not install Flash

Flash is available for most platforms, including Linux, but many people don't install it.

I don't.

The reason is that its main use is to clutter up web pages with distracting advertisements. I use the web mainly to get information, and the very last thing I want is some crass "Look at me! Look at me!" winking, blinking, multicolored ad distracting me.
