I use Kino regularly and have tried Kdenlive also. For me, Kino is more than adequate: fast, easy, more intuitive than Kdenlive. Concerning export abilities, please consider that for Kino, you can write any export script you want. For example, I use a custom mencoder backend tuned for my needs, which is very fast. I also like Avidemux, which is great for all sorts of work with non-DV material. Its main drawback is its slowness (exporting to DVD, I get 20-23 fps with Kino but sometimes only 2-3 fps with Avidemux).
