Kudos for Kino

I've used Kino on a number of projects, and found that you _can_ make reasonable videos with it, although I find that using it's "effects" mode for adding transitions to be a little clunky. Additionally, they need to do some work on the titling - I've had real problems getting good quality from it :(

Biggest gotcha for me was remember to deselect video effects when applying audio effects. Having finished a video with a nice fade to black, I then dubbed the whole thing with some music, only to discover on presentation that I had managed to also add a gentle fade to black over the entire video :(
