Sounds like the 1960s and 70s' <a href="http://sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Keep_America_Beautiful">Keep America Beautiful</a> [sourcewatch.org] as front for mega beverage companies shirking their ethical obligations and trying to offload recycling to the consumer. Instead of chip makers stopping the "gigahertz race" and software developers writing better software, how about we just keep buying new computers every three years and raping Africa for the natural resources needed to make these stupid machines (see <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coltan>coltan</a> [wikipedia.org]).
Intel's never going to tell you to stop or slow down purchasing of computers. It's not in their interests whatsoever. I support low power initiatives... but could we please curb some of the consumerism too?
