A single-lone man is working on Absolute. Its unfortunate bugs happen, but every distro has bugs and this one is no exception. But the fact that it was fixed the day after this article was released is to prove that the man "in-charge" is on top of it. User input is appreciated for this distro and YOU do have a choice on what should and should not be done to this, within reason of course.
Also, PCLinuxOS is great and has had a longer lifespan and more user input. But it is also a LiveCD choice as well as a heavier distro. Absolute is about combining everything to make sure it all "just works" and make sure it works on a Pentium Pro 200 mhz with 32 megs of ram. If PCLinuxOS can do that and not waste 20 minutes getting to the desktop then I'm all for it.
Its about choice, and Absolute Linux is another choice. A very sleek, fast, clean, just works, includes my inputs, accepts my fixes, kind of choice.
