And before you say that Intel onboard video accelerators suck, check out the 965 chipset. Intel video cards are present in a lot more computers that ATI or nvidia, so open-source drivers are so very welcome. And one more thing: Intel will enter the discrete (ie. not onboard) video accelerator market soon. And it will have open-source drivers with 3D support that will work out of the box with any Linux distribution. http://www.intellinuxgraphics.org/
