"Although at least one well-known environmental group did not sign, stating off the record that it had no policy about software"

Lets survey some web servers according to Netcraft:

Greenpeace = almost exclusively Linux (except NZ)

WWF = a mix of Windows and Solaris with a couple of Linux

SierraClub = exclusively Windows

Seashepherd.org = Linux

Thankfully all the listed supporting organisations seem to be primarily Linux based for web servers. Except newint.org's shopping cart that could be NT4/Win98 ?? Well at least they are not being wasteful. :)
