On thing you neglected to point out, Joe, is that RedHat has also said they would be happy to work on interoperability with Microsoft, as long as it was based on open standards. This is probably an even more important failure in the Novell/Xandros/Linspire deals than the patent FUD. I hope that projects are watching closely for tainted contributions from these vendors.
