Re titles, one should really better do the homework before plunging into an article. The plugin (which was initially a separate project by a Mexican guy) is long merged.

I've been getting perfectly clean results from it as soon as ALT Linux build maintained by me followed someone's recommendations on kino-dev@ and used a specific DV library to link (this might have been fixated in 0.9.5 or so, e.g. a special configure parameter is needed to employ known bad variant for video and not audio part of DV).

Before that, my titles would have been sloppy indeed as you describe.

PS: I could employ a single node of cluster twice as high end as your workstation and continue reading Churchill *but* better do yourself a favour -- ask upstream if there's something really weird with it<nobr> <wbr></nobr>;-)
