Change "Linus Torvalds" to "Richard Stallman", change "GNOME" to "proprietary license", and change "KDE" to "GPL". Same tenor, different subject.

Choice is good, Linus. Different people, different needs and wants, different choices. For me, I'd rather not be using a desktop built on Qt, licensed <a href="" title="">under the GPL</a> like an adopted bastard step-cousin. I'll go with GNOME instead, lumps and all, with a clear conscience.

But that's just me.
