not another api

I should think the last thing Linux needs is yet another api.

And the goal seems false - the aim is to "unify" the desktops. But the true way to do that would be to get rid of one of them, not create a third api wrapper.

And the wrappers never do there job well enough, never cover all the functions, and introduce another set of bugs to add to the total.

There are a lot of languages in use, so why not gui api's? Lets just live with it.
