This benchmark is close to useless as described by the other posters. If anything it goes to show how well Athlon64 copes with non-optimized code.
But specifically for the compiler test (X.org), if you wanted to compare the compiler's speed you should cross-compile to a common target, ie. compile 32-bit code on both platforms (same compile options etc.) to compare gcc actually doing the same job on the two architectures.
