good idea but...

I work in computer repair, and you wouldn't believe how many people come in because they forgot their password in windows xp. With an encrypted root filesystem, there would be no way to recover the password (because chroot from external environment wouldn't work), So, in the business world, where security is important, this would be an awesome idea, but for your average computer user, this would be a nightmare... (in regards to xp passwords being forgotten, I would like to thank the writers of chntpw, this is an invaluable utility in my toolkit)
