Both can cache rpms locally instead of installing. Simply cron the update option for either daily/weekly/millenially, and you'll have the fresh rpms sitting on your hard drive 'repository' without needing to spawn a proc on loopback. You can also create the proper header files for them via the --arch option if it serves some purpose or you wanna share it out for download.
