I know you can do multiple colomns, drop text, flowing text and the rest is probably easy. LaTeX has been developed for years now, so there ate heaps of extra packages that add functionality. If you like the LyX output, you should learn propper LaTeX. It is easier to use, especialy for complex tasks. A good IDE for windows is Led <a href="" title=""></a>
