Agreed, CalDAV is complex, as it intends to solve a lot of complex calendaring and scheduling scenarios. However, the first set of use cases seem to be focused primarily on sharing freebusy information. CalDAV isn't going to get much traction if users can get get close to what they need via services like Apple's<nobr> <wbr></nobr>.mac, <a href="http://ifreebusy.com/" title="ifreebusy.com">http://ifreebusy.com/</a ifreebusy.com> <a href="http://icalx.com/" title="icalx.com">http://icalx.com/</a icalx.com> etc.
