Re:Try debian!

I use Suse 9.2, and I found only a major problem with the 2.6.8 series kernel, which had a problem with a device driver (sata_sis). So I had to downgrade to 2.6.5, but here I found huge problems with samba/cifs, which sometimes crashed the whole network.

Eventually I tried out the 2.6.11 kernel from the update site of SuSE/Novell, and magically all the problems with the driver disappeared, along with the ones with samba/cifs, which now seems rock solid. And the performances... Gee! -What a piece of cake in a pretty standard machine, apart RAM and CPU!
